Parkside strongly encourages community and family involvement at our school. 
Our Family Center, located in room 9, offers a welcoming place for parent and community volunteers to become involved in our school.  Volunteers work on projects for teachers here, run copies, collate weekly homework packets, lead recess and after school clubs, and provide extra support for our staff and students.  The Family Center also has a "Share Shelf" with books that students and families can enjoy together.

Our PTA board meetings are held in the Family Center.

After School Programs

Parkside Elementary is excited to be working with the Des Moines Park and Recreation Department to offer our students before and after school programming provided at our site.   Students K-6th grade are able to enroll.  For more information you may contact the Park and Rec. at 206-870-6582.
